It's the Little Things That Count...

Over the last few days, I've become a little home sick... My second home that is... California!

I guess it hit me on Thursday, after going home for my Dad's B-day & picking up a CD of "selected" california pics that I wanted to upload onto my blog... Just browsing through those pics, all the amazing times came flashing back, the coast line, the people, the laughs, the freedom to pick up & leave (i.e. no responsibilities after my 9-6 work day). The good people (and the dumb fuckers as well).

Yesterday, I started craving Chicken Wings... but not just any chicken wings - chicken wings from University Chicken (located at Santa Clara Univeristy). They had the sickest chicken wings ever! Different spice ratings, from Moderate to Traditional Death to Nuclear to Global Thermal Nuclear! Global Thermal Nuclear were the best! Although it does reack havoc on your digestive system the next day ;)

They even had a "9-1-1" level. Mind you this level was off the charts (i.e. not listed). (side note: remember the hidden menu at In&Out Burgers - animal style!). To order the 911 chicken wings you were required to sign a WAIVER! Releasing the joint from liability incase anything goes wrong (& boy did it ever!). The challenge was you had to eat 12 wings in 10 mins, without any liquids 5 mins before or after the challenge, as well you were not allowed to wipe off excessive chicken wing sauce!

Oh the pain! I handled Global Thermal Nuclear okay & I love spice so WTF lets do the challenge. My boyz video recorded it... it was horrible. Halfway through the challenge my throat collapsed! LITERALLY! IT WAS CLOSING UP! I saw a video of the challenge as research & saw it happen to this kid - but I was like, how can your throat clog up?? Well, I finally learnt how. I tapped out at 6 1/2 wings. Defeated... I later gained the courage to go back - again I tapped out at a total of 9 wings.

That night was horrible (it was on my B-Day). Even after a bottle of peptobisma, the pain was horrendous! It was worse that being too drunk & throwing up. To save the details, my body finally rejected the 911 chicken wings & purged the material (now mixed with pepto) in both directions! ;)

But ahhhhh.... how I miss University Chicken.

I remember my last day in California. I had just woken up in Shelly's king sized bed at Oakwood. Oakwood, where it all started & now where it all ended (for now). I listened to the O.C. song on her laptop & cried! Yeap, I cried! It was such a wonderful year & I was sad to leave.

Now every time I see the O.C. on TV (like last Thursday), and I see California... I get all teary eyed! Wow, I miss that place!
