Mind Blowing Revelation!

I had a revelation today - that has completely changed my opinion on Americans. So Gaj goes to the fabric store (& saw a pretty hot girl there! I think the fabric store is a key place to meet "nice" girls, kinda like the library or a coffee shop). Anyways, I was shopping for fabric for my toga (halloween costume). I come across this "siberian tiger" print/fur & I'm like that's mine! But it's like $13 / yard.

Thus me being the Canadian that I am, I think... "hum? a yard, eh? must be like 5 feet maybe six?" (Which is vital cause Gaj is strapped for cash!). So I get there & it turns out: 1 yard = 3 feet! ouch. The fabric was gonna cost me $25 & with the other stuff it would be like $37 - but Gaj only has $30 in the bank!!

So I'm in line for the cashier & this complete strange old white lady comes up to me & is like "hi honey, that fabric looks pretty expensive?" I'm like "yeah, it is". Then she's like "well, I have this coupon for 50% off a single item & only for today." (Sure, enough the coupon says valid Fri. Oct 22 only!) She's like here you go. I'm like "huh?" What? Okay!

I'm so used to old ladies holding on their handbags cause their afraid a man of colour like myself will steal it! Grrr. But not this lady - maybe because I was in a fabric store? But damn, she was down right NICE!!!

So the moral of the story! Don't Stereo Type! There are NICE american's who are not racist or ignorant & even nice, kinda like a grandma! So there are NICE people in the world! Wow, that was my revelation!
